Our Responsibility
As a global organization we aim to set the bar high and lead by example.
Our commitment to our people and our planet is in our DNA – we strive to be part of the solution.
We Use
Reprocessed Fabrics
We are representative of change not just within the fashion industry, but also within the textile industry. We look not only for quality in fabrics but also for fabrics that have a low impact on our planet.
Our supply chain offers fully recycled nylon, recycled polyester, and BCI cotton, to name a few.
We are actively investigating the use of other innovative materials such as biodegradable fabrics.
Our printing facility uses on-site bioremediation to reuse resources and mitigate our impact on the environment.
Future Now:
Designing to Disappear
The Biodegradable Project
Templa, Active Apparel Group and ALLIED Feather+ Down have united to build a unique jacket that, from its origins, designs for its end of life. Using biodegradable materials that disappear from the planet when placed in an anaerobic environment in ~5 years, combined with ALLIED Feather+ Down’s biodegradable, sustainably processed 800 FP recycled down, this jacket illustrates that fashion can exist without compromise while also reducing our environmental impact.
- 99% Biodegradable – the only remaining piece is a small metal zipper component which is necessary for functionality in a high performance, long lasting garment.
- Backed by testing – all raw materials utilize the most innovative biodegradable technologies and are supported by testing through Amni Soul Eco®, by Solvay, CiCLO®
Impact Focused Technologies
Navigating the evolving landscape of sustainable innovations is key to finding the solutions for our industry.
3D design technology enables for less waste in the sampling process while investment in cutting edge printing technologies has reduced our water consumption and eliminated harmful chemicals. Our waste management systems ensure materials are recycled and disposed of responsibly.

Forward Thinking
Innovation
We apply a chemical-free, anti-odor technology that permanently enhance fabrics with odor elimination, UV refraction, faster drying and greater cooling power.
This treatment prolongs the life of the garment by reducing the need to over-launder which is good for our customers and good for the planet.

Our Planet
Printing is what we do! But not at the cost of our planet or our people. In 2014, we built our own in-house print facility that makes use of an innovative printing process that is free of toxic chemicals, conserves and recycles water, and produces no excess waste. Creating vibrant, beautifully printed fabric that is safe for our technicians and for our customers.
Our Progress
- Digital and Soluble Printing
- Waste Management: offcuts of fabric shredded, recycled and repurposed
- Onsite bioremediation water treatment system for all printing and steaming wastewater. All water based waste inks are treated and turned into solids and disposed of responsibly.
- Chemical Management: waste chemicals are removed by certified EPA waste removal companies.
- Onsite air purification system
- Carbon Measurement – Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
- Materiality Assessment: Stakeholder Engagement on our environmental impact
2024 Initiatives
- Set carbon emissions improvement targets
- Environmental Management System
- Value and Supply Chain Environmental Impact Mapping
- Company wide training of Environmental Impact

Our Product
It is widely known that the material used for activewear is one of our industry’s biggest challenges. For this reason, we aim to continually improve our fabric and trim offerings and strive to find ways to reduce our negative impact. Producing garments with durability, performance, and comfort to extend their life span is always top of mind. One way we are tackling this challenge is through our innovative anti-odor application. Our method is a non-toxic treatment, applied to fabric through a closed loop system at the fabric level. It helps to reduce bacteria causing odor and prolongs the life of the garment by cutting down on over laundering. This treatment also reduces micro-shedding of materials into the water when washed. That’s what we call a win-win!
Our Progress
- Sourcing of materials and trims: recycled nylon made from fishing nets (Econyl), recycled poly derived from discarded plastics (Repreve) and biodegradable fabrics, Lenzing Tencel and Roica V550 are additional examples
- Impact minded fabric finishes, like Amnisoul
- Investment in 3D design for the sampling process – reducing waste in materials, construction and cost, not to mention cutting transit time
- Recycled packaging options
2024 Initiatives
- Expanding our 3D design service across brands to reduce the number of samples produced
- Increasing our offering of recycled materials
- Research and development in construction and durability
